Master Coffee Academy School was born in 2011 from the evolution of a training project conceived in 2005 and exclusively dedicated to the world of coffee shops. Through time and experience, Ms Natascia Camiscia - A.S.T. (Authorized Sca Trainer.) – has turned a spontaneous initiative into a real school.
The coffee world is in a constant evolution therefore knowledge becomes fundamental to "tell ourselves" to the customers, to go with them into a universe of flavors and feelings towards innovative specialties and through a conscious revival of tradition.
The Master Coffee Academy offers barmen the opportunity to increase their skills and professionalism and deepening the culture of mixed drinking through its highly specialized courses. And … for those who want to take a chance, we can prepare you for the national barista championships!
From the product to the customer care: the Master Coffee Academy is a highly professional path that redesigns the figure of the barman, redefining his role and ability to interact with all the features imposed by progressive innovations. This concerns not only the range of products offered, but also the need to relate to a market that is at the same time both global and local; small communities of producers on one side and cultured, curious, prepared individual customers on the other.
Universal Academy - SCA certified (Specialty Coffee Association) - has a close relationship with experts from specific fields and therefore the opportunities to attend courses either in Italian or English. The Courses will range from theoretical concepts on the coffee world to practical activities, from the knowledge of the business reality to accounting skills and up to real-time updates on the innovation in the field.
Constant information is the base of the Master Coffee Academy system to guarantee continue and deep update on the market and suit new requirements. First and second level barista certification and "Coffee diploma" are available by attending courses.
I was born in Verona in 1975. I attended the Hotel Institute while I was also involved in training internships and working as a barman in the best Verona venues. At the end of the course I obtained the diploma with the qualification of hotel technician. I then continued to work in the historic venues of the city such as Antico Caffè Dante (also noted in the Michelin Guides) to refine techniques and professional growth. I also aimed to gain experience in facilities that required speed and agility, such as the coffee bar in Verona’s Valerio Catullo airport. In 1997 I opened my own venue and I owned it until 2014, when I moved to Pescara due to family reasons. During all these years, I have continued to attend training and refresher courses and, in January 2017, I joined the Universal Caffè team.
At Universal Caffè I am responsible for training. I also deal with promotions, preparation and development of barista courses. The programs include the theoretical and practical teaching of the basic rules for the preparation of espresso coffee and coffee-based drinks. I carry out my courses in Italy and abroad and I take care of the organization of all the trade exhibitions and events Universal decides to take part in either in Italy or abroad. Due to my twenty years experience in the coffee bar world, I uphold a constant partnership with customers to keep up to date on the latest trends in the field. My certifications are: hotel technical diploma, milk art grading system green jug examiner, SCA certification intermediate barista, SCA sensory foundation certification, SCA certification green foundation.
Coffee Diploma System
The Master Coffee Academy has two Sca (Specialty Coffee Association) international trainers authorized to issue certifications on the Sca and Coffee Diploma training program all over the world. We aim to promote, through an intense training activity, a culture of quality coffee, regardless of the method of preparation applied.
